Kerala’s Red Rain rain
From 25 July _ 23 Sept 2001, red rain sporadically fell on the southern Indian state of Kerala
The rain water was very thick, almost blood-like which caused fear & panic
It was first suspected that the rains were coloured by fallout from a hypothetical meteor burst, but a study found that it had been coloured by airborne spores from a locally prolific terrestrial alga
